Gecko Ecology

Environment Management on the Central Coast

Founded over 20 years ago by Restoration Ecologist Paul Malligan, Gecko Environment Management remains at the forefront of ecological restoration. We are a multi-disciplinary team of Bush Regenerators, Ecologists and Environmental Scientists. Our works are informed by sound ecological restoration science. With an intimate knowledge of the diverse ecosystems we work within in the Sydney and Hunter Regions. Adaptation to key ecological and cultural requirements both locally and beyond have always been a cornerstone of our work. Our reach has extended to Lord Howe Island, the Western Australian Kimberleys, Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, and Kakadu in the Northern Territory as well as involvement in research studies in Bhutan.

GEM is contracted by a diverse mix of clients to apply both established and innovative solutions to restoring ecosystems. Regularly engaged by Local Councils and State Government departments such as National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS), the Office of Environment and Heritage (OEH) and Local Land Services (LLS) to volunteer and community groups and private clients.

We pride ourselves in working with all our clients to meet their needs and objectives and generate the best possible environmental outcomes. Our team is able to travel and well accustomed to the challenges of remote work. We also work closely with associates from various areas of expertise.
